Located in the heart of Spinningfields, Moxy Manchester is a contemporary neighbourhood hotel, set within a former hat factory. There’s an urban, lofty NYC style that sweeps throughout the space, all wrapped up with a playful nod towards the city’s industrial heritage.
Stepping into Moxy feels like ‘game on’. There’s a cocktail reception, with Bar Moxy taking centre stage and simultaneously doubling up as the hotel’s front desk.
There’s also a day-to-night food and drinks menu, with light snacks such as hot buns, small plates, flatbreads and pizzas. Guests and locals alike are welcome to hang-out and enjoy an extensive drinks menu of beers, spirits, wines and cocktails.
The social atrium is perfect for enjoying time with friends, as colourful, comfortable seating is scattered around the lobby, with fun touches such as a foosball table, and a DJ who plays every night.
Exposed brickwork is offset with soft leathers and eclectic artwork, along with plenty of references to Manchester’s musical past.
As for the bedrooms, each of the 146 bedrooms are equipped with cool, modern decor - the sort of plush lavishness that wouldn’t look out of place at a Manhattan penthouse. There are luxury, walk-in showers, large TVs (with Netflix) and outrageously plush beds, fitted with crisp cotton sheets and large, dreamy pillows.
Many of the rooms offer dramatic views of the city’s Deansgate skyline, so you can catch a quick moment with a cocktail to take it all in.
And… The Moxy is dog-friendly, which is great news for those planning a staycation with their pet.
